As a former art teacher, process and inquisitiveness guide my work. Consistently being in the studio is a practice that balances my life. I am propelled forward by learning new ways to describe the world around us. It is its own meditation - calm, and healing - and in direct contact with our creator and the universe - a shaft of light to the divine. I work primarily in acrylic, watercolor, mixed media and collage. The paintings speak through me and I through them. Seas, trees, flowers, landscapes, figures relating, pure color, light and composition all weave in and out. I hope my unique mark shines through while the work evolves with time.
