Centre St Arts Gallery is dedicating the month of May to raising awareness for survivors of domestic abuse.   Several of our member artists are designating works to benefit “Finding Our Voices” centered around the theme "Into the Light".   These pieces will be hung throughout the gallery and indicated by a yellow ribbon. Payment will be cash or check only.

Finding Our Voices is a grass roots, survivor-led, nonprofit that provides resources for Maine women affected by domestic abuse and their children.  A couple of weeks ago, a mother of two young sons was fatally shot by her boyfriend in South Berwick, Maine.   The first $1,000 in proceeds from the art sale is going to a fund to support the boys.

Please join us for our gallery reception on May 9th from 5-7 pm.  Attendees are invited to wear something yellow in solidarity.
